Best Logistics Group is looking for a high-energy and resilient Driver Recruiter to sell driving opportunities over the phone and in person to prospective drivers. You will work as part of a team who is committed to ensuring a high-touch, personal approach with driver candidates. This exciting role will work in our terminal in Kernersville and support operations for Best Cartage, Best Dedicated and Best Specialized.

The Driver Recruiter is responsible for understanding the driver market, know where and how to best reach CDL drivers, and to leverage those relationships to build a pipeline of qualified candidates. In this role, you will have responsibility for sourcing, interviewing, and scheduling as well as making hiring decisions and extending job offers within a complete life-cycle recruiting process.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary contact for all persons expressing interest in working for one of our fleets either via phone or one on one.
- Conduct background checks for all prospective drivers. Each prospective driver would be screened to ensure they meet company hiring standards. Recruiters will collaborate with the Director of Talent & Human Resources and Safety Department if the driver doesn’t clearly meet the requirements or if the recruiter has concerns with the driver.
- Work with the other recruiters to coordinate advertising and marketing efforts to attract drivers.
- Maintain driver application function in TenStreet including adding phone applicants and updating statuses as needed.
- Know the current needs of the Recruiter's assigned fleet(s)
- Basic knowledge of all driving positions including customers and commodities to ensure proper driver placement.
- Maintain current knowledge of the benefit package for the company as well as all pay packages for their assigned fleet(s)
- Make all necessary arrangements once an offer of employment is made. This will include booking travel if needed (bus tickets, creating hotel reservations, etc.) Once arrangements are made, a confirmation packet and offer letter will be emailed to all new hires detailing orientation guidelines and expectations along with directions and contact information.
- Recruiters will work with the HR Team to coordinate their drivers for weekly new hire orientation
Other Duties
- Serve a vital role post hire for driver relations.
- Develop knowledge of the company and its history and plans for the future
- Maintain good working relationships with all fleet operations teams
